A Theory –

Norah Kathleen known as Kath was brought up by her aunt – Alice Woodford.

James Richard Orton (the younger) had a stepdaughter - Alice Wright Cameron.

She would have been stepsister to Marion Olive Orton (Kath’s mother)

Alive married Thomas Woodford and it looks like they never had any children as no records found).

Marion Olive wasn’t married (quite common back then and now).

I think she died approx. age 30. So, her stepsister, Alice brought up Kath.

On the 1939 register - Alice and Kath were living on Clarges Street.
